You’d have to read the book to understand. But when there are some out there hurting others, especially women, we might call on the insects and birds to help. While this book sheds light on some very abuse men we have to admit that not all men are cruel beasts. They seem to be very protective of women. If you see them flying around you just might look out for what may come. With the help of a crow they find their way about. ![]() But these women find they can handle things. There are things that happen that will make your skin crawl. ![]() They have to find their way to live and carry on. The way to live and make peace with things that happened to them. Birds and insects respond to them in a way that is quite magical. This book is full of nature and things that will make you feel the strength of these three women. The last thing she needs is for her husband to have a child to hold over her forever and possibly abuse. Gross right? Kate ran from a horribly abusive marriage after finding out she is pregnant. Violet was raped by her cousin who her father brought there for a visit and I got the feeling he wanted possibly a marriage out of it. Altha was accused of being a witch and put on trial for murder. ![]() These three women are such strong women even though it takes them a while to realize it. ![]()

Must the rest of the news abandon us to despair? The world is asking us to consider that question deeply. She defined kindness and heroism as “moral beauty,” which “triggers ‘elevation’ – a positive and uplifting feeling” that “acts as an emotional reset button, replacing feelings of cynicism with hope, love and optimism.”The study suggested this happens when one watches a news story about kindness after watching ones about bombings, cruelty, and violence. ![]() They support “the belief that the world and people in it are good.” And they provide “relief to the pain we experience when we see others suffering.”It was her fourth point that stuck with me. A week ago, a British researcher published an article titled “Stories of kindness may counteract the negative effects of looking at bad news.” As you might imagine, I was intrigued.Kathryn Buchanan of the University of Essex shared four main takeaways from her research: Stories of kindness remind us of our shared values. ![]() 6/25/2023 0 Comments Lost in time ag riddle![]() ![]() ![]() Of course, with its capabilities being limited and astronomically costly to run, a deal was struck with the government allowing it to use Absolom to send the world’s worst criminals hundreds of millions of years into the past. Lost in Time takes place in the near future, where a team of scientists have developed a new technology capable of time travel called Absolom. As it turns out though, it wasn’t the story that got to be too much for me (it was, in fact, quite interesting and full of surprising twists) but factors like the lack of character development and some of the more arbitrary plot devices that took away from the experience. Time travel books often test the limits of what I can tolerate in terms of their mindfuckery and outrageous ideas, so I approached Lost in Time with no small amount of trepidation. Riddle ![]() 6/25/2023 0 Comments Amc interview with the vampire![]() ![]() In fact, the season 1 finale already introduced a major character, the vampire Armand, well ahead of schedule. Just what else can we expect from this now hotly anticipated second season though? Anne Rice’s books provide a blueprint up to a point but the show has already made it clear that it’s able to be flexible when need be. ![]() And now we can only assume that that comeback will arrive in the already-announced Interview with the Vampire season 2. Refreshingly, this iteration of Interview with the Vampire makes no attempt to hide the fact that Lestat wasn’t fully killed and will be making a comeback shortly. Louis (Jacob Anderson) and Claudia’s (Bailey Bass) sort-of murder of their creator and caretaker Lestat (Sam Reid) occurs roughly halfway through the book and serves as a fitting send off for these seven episodes. Truth be told, there wasn’t an ideal stopping point in Rice’s novel for Interview with the Vampire to cut its first season short on, but it found as reasonably good a spot as one could have hoped for. ![]() 6/25/2023 0 Comments Air awakens vortex chronicles![]() ![]() Chosen Champion took us on an adventure - a chase across the main continent all the way to a small ship on wild seas.
